About Mrs. Croes
I am extremely excited to begin my 16th year of teaching. This will be my 12th year teaching 6th grade math. For 10 of those years I taught science in addition to math, and before that I taught language arts and social studies for three years. I round out my career with one year in a self-contained 5th grade class. In 2007, I completed my masters degree in education at Simpson University.
I absolutely love Boulder Creek. I was a BC parent for nine years prior to coming here to teach when the middle school grades became a reality. Both of my sons spent all of their elementary school years at Boulder Creek receiving a top-notch start to their educations. My oldest, Garrett, graduated from Foothill High School with honors. He is on his way this fall to Sacramento State University where he will begin his junior year studying kinesiology. My youngest son, Brett, will begin his senior year at Foothill this year. When he isn't studying, he will be playing basketball for the cougars.
My husband Scott teaches Anatomy, Physiology, and Human Biology at Shasta College. Prior to teaching at the college level, Dr. Croes taught middle school math and science. He has a huge heart for getting kids excited about learning - especially about science! You will find him on campus, occasionally, as a guest speaker. He will also join some of our sixth grade field trips offering his expertise as well as spreading his enthusiasm among the students and parents.
Finally, meet our adorable pets. We have three dogs and two cats, and it's a good thing we don't live in the country or we would probably have many more. Arrow, Callie, and Sargent are our cute Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and Libby and Bandit are our kitties.
